Whilst ShowFX has proved itself as a driving force in the field of Fireworks & Special Effects in Australia, we’ve now gone on to prove our dominance around the world! In the latter months of 2008 ShowFX’s Creative Designer, Anthony Foti delivered no less than 5 shows across Italy, Spain and Romania.
Festival of San Giovanni, Formia, Italy
On the 24th of June, ShowFX in conjunction with Parente Fireworks presented a 25 minute explosive Pyromusical from the spectacular seaside village of Formia, in southern Italy. The show which was synchronized to 8 music tracks was fired from 9 positions with a combination of ground effects and aerial shells.
World Powerboat Championships, Constanta, Romania
On the beautiful coastline of Constanta, Romania, ShowFX put on a fireworks extravaganza for the race that is dubbed the ‘Worlds most rugged ocean race’. Crowds came from afar to watch the display in front of the infamous Rex Hotel which comprised of a ground display and shells from up to 5 positions on the water.
XII Festival Pirotécnico Ciudad de Valladolid, Valladolid, Spain
In one of many international fireworks competitions ShowFX has been represented in, this was by far one of our best performances. In the fiercely competitive European fireworks industry, ShowFX did Australia proud and bought home a silver medal! The award winning fireworks display was a hit with the crowd and really proved that ShowFX can match it on an international stage!
Ferias y Fiestas, Salamanca, Spain
Our second show in Spain was just as successful as the first one. The traditional fireworks show lasted 20 minutes and used in the vicinity of 2,000 8” shells - in layman’s terms…that’s MASSIVE! As always, ShowFX are proving we will go to any effort to ‘WOW’ our audience.

Because ShowFX now officially loves Spain (and Spain loves ShowFX) we again out did ourselves in another fireworks competition, winning 1st place in the ‘Viewers Choice’ vote. As our clients are the end ‘viewers’ of our shows, we couldn’t be happier with the result.
