ShowFX has the technology to design and build the equipment required to create fireballs from 1 metre to 12 metres, moving shapes and other static flames.
We have gas flame jet systems that shoot fireballs indoors and outdoors. Our team can create any flame effect, from small static flames to large sets on fire. Carrying a range of coloured gas jets allows us to change the colour of the flame; and even set fire to water with our water flames.
Our technical know-how is based around two engineers and a gas specialist (who are constantly working on new flaming ideas). This means our equipment is well designed - with an A-list of fire props including drums which contain fire to 3 different sizes with full electronic ignition and fail safe controls systems.
Our team also design one-off moments of fire, like the Olympic Rings at the Australian Prime Minister’s Olympic Dinner. ShowFX built the 3 metre long by 1.5 metre high set of motorised rings, which were hidden inside a giant six metre ball. On cue, athlete Alisa Camplin in a harness with torch in hand, flew across the room to meet the rings as they dropped into position, lighting them into flames. The moment was magical!
All flame equipment is manufactured in Australia by us and complies with both local and international gas laws for fire in front of an audience.
